Summer Mission Trip
This summer Christ Church youth (ages 11+) will travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin for a Week of Hope—serving the local community.
We need to hear from you! More details will be available soon, but the first question we need to answer is when to make the trip. Complete the form below by December 15th to let us know which weeks work for your family.
Many thanks!
Julie, Bailey, and Fr. Matt

Some of our local projects during the summer include:
Engage and interact with individuals with disabilities. Participants will be doing many different activities that include: socializing, playing games and helping with projects.
Brighten the day for senior citizens at several assisted living and memory care centers--help with games, crafts, exercise and gardening.
Assisting in food distribution; “shop” with clients, pack groceries, stock shelves, and help out in the warehouse.
Assist Summer Day Camp Counselors with activities and events for kids ages 5–15 at one of three different locations.
-
The trip will run from Sunday afternoon through Friday midday. We'll meet at Christ Church and travel together as a youth group to the site.
-
We will have lodging at a local church. There will be a separate boy’s hall and girl’s hall, a space for meals, bathrooms and showers, and a space for programs.
Participants need to bring twin-size air mattresses, pillows, sleeping bags or other bedding to sleep on floors.
-
Trip fees are $300 per person. We don’t want cost to be a barrier! Let us know if your family needs more financial assistance to make the trip. We want to make this a possibility for your children.
The deadline to register for the trip is January 26, 2025. At that time an initial $100 deposit will be due. A registration link will be available soon.

The trip is co-led by Bailey Steger, the High School Youth Lay Minister, and the Rev. Matt Philipps, the Associate Rector, and Julie Davis, the Middle School Youth Lay Minister. It is organized through Group Mission Trips.
