Vestry

The Vestry is the governing board of the local congregation. Vestry members are elected by the congregation at the Annual Meeting (held at the end of January) for three year terms. The Vestry is the primary liaison between the congregation and Rector of the church. The Vestry has oversight in areas of finance and building maintenance and works in collaboration with the clergy to determine vision and direction for the congregation.

We are all part of the body of Christ, lay and ordained, paid church employee and volunteer. The rector and personnel committee hope to encourage awareness about staff roles, employee guidelines, as well as best practices for all church members – the “priesthood of all believers” (I Peter 2:5).
